Try Before You Buy
Although we offer a 14-day free trial, you may want to experience Delayed Auditory Feedback (the device’s software) before making your final purchase. This 4-Step Guide lets you replicate the device’s functionality directly on your smartphone. Trying it is completely optional, but it can help you explore its benefits firsthand.
Keep in mind that the most significant improvements in fluency often occur in real-life speaking scenarios rather than in the comfort of your home.
All you need is:
- A Smart Phone
- Wired Headphones/Earbuds with a Built-in Microphone
- A Delayed Auditory Feedback App
- Something to read
NOTE: A Bluetooth Earpiece will not work with any DAF app
4-Step Guide

Download a DAF App
Download a Delayed Auditory Feedback App, such as DAF Pro. This will cost approximately $5.

Set the Settings according to the FluencyPods
Adjust the delay function to 70ms. If there is a pitch function, set it to 'no pitch change'.

Read a piece of text without the App
Place your phone to one side and read a page out loud from a book without using the app. This will serve as your baseline, helping you compare your speech before and after using the app.

Again, but with the App
Now, plug in your headphones and start using the app. Read the same piece of text aloud again to observe how DAF improves your speech fluency. See the difference? Keep in mind that the most significant improvements in speech fluency typically occur in real-life speaking situations. If you have a mild stutter that doesn’t manifest much when you’re at home, trialing a DAF app may not be the most effective way to evaluate its impact. That is why we have the 14-day Free Trial!
